Declaration of Impartiality

Global Lab is a laboratory that provides inspection and certification services accessible to all who request them, without being conditioned by size or membership in specific groups. Global Lab recognizes that for testing labs and their staff, it is essential that the requirement of impartiality be implemented and perceived as such, in order for its accreditation to be accepted with the necessary degree of trust both nationally and internationally.

Global Lab offers the following services: system audit, compliance audit, ISMS, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Test and Game testing.

In order to obtain, maintain, and increase the level of trust, it is essential that decisions be based on objective evidence of conformity (or non-conformity) obtained, and that relevant decisions are not influenced by other interests or parties involved.

In other words, the perception of impartiality is a fundamental element for the recognition of the objectivity of the activities carried out by Global Lab. To this end, Global Lab is committed to ensuring the management of conflicts of interest and ensuring the objectivity of testing and inspection activities, as well as impartial behaviour, as outlined below:

A. Management of conflicts of interest of employees, collaborators, and committee members through:

    • Prepare and constantly update the risk analysis document, threats to impartiality, and adopted countermeasures.

    • Preparation of specific forms regarding declarations and commitments to confidentiality, independence, and safeguarding of impartiality.

    • Absence of provision of consulting services.

    • Involvement of personnel: collaborators at all levels must be fully involved and motivated to put their skills at the service of the company.

    B. Guarantee of the objectivity of laboratory activities through:

    • Employment of inspection personnel and competent and qualified technical experts to carry out the laboratory’s activities to ensure the necessary technical expertise

    • Decisions based on factual data: making decisions based on the results of the analysis of certain, comparable, and referable data and information.

    C. Assurance of impartial behaviour through:

    • Adoption of a tariff for laboratory services, including criteria for formulating economic offers, whose impartial application is subject to monitoring by the Impartiality Safeguard Committee.

    • Definition, promotion, and adoption of non-discriminatory policies and procedures that do not impede or limit access to inspection or certification for applicants, unless otherwise specified in the relevant regulations.

    • Policies aimed at ensuring that inspection/testing activities are carried out with the utmost integrity and independence from any pressure or incentive, particularly economic pressures.

    • Implementation of confidentiality principles, in accordance with applicable regulations.

    • Timely management of complaints, appeals, and disputes.

From this vision, the Management derives general objectives to involve the entire structure, including numerical metrics if applicable. It is the responsibility of all resources to actively and constructively engage with their skills and professional abilities to achieve these objectives and contribute with reports and proposals to continuously improve the performance and services provided by the entire company. To ensure the maintenance of the established and implemented system, the Management appoints a Quality Manager, who is responsible for constantly monitoring the system and annually presenting a report to the Management on the performance of the system, with the necessary elements to formulate programs and objectives for improvement.
